Child Photo Competition 2016 is an international annual photography competition. My photo received an honourable mention in it — and I am very pleased to share the news.
The jury of the international Child Photo Competition gave an honourable mention to my photo “Sisters” — Newborns 2016 edition. The jury had already recognised the same photo of these lovely little sisters earlier, in one of the organisation’s monthly editions. This time it made it among the best of the whole of 2016.
It is a huge honour for me. My modest name appeared among the big names in newborn photography — talented women from all over the world who inspire me greatly. The photo “Sisters” was taken during one of my newborn sessions in my studio in Warsaw. I still run sessions in exactly the same style today.
Awards like this do not change my approach to sessions. Every family that comes to me gets the same attention and the same care over every shot — whether the photo later goes into a competition or simply stays a family keepsake. I run newborn sessions in a warm and calm atmosphere, adjusting the pace to the baby’s needs. It was in exactly this atmosphere that the award-winning photo “Sisters” was taken.

Child Photo Competition is an international, recurring competition. It is for photographers who specialise in newborn and children’s photography. The jury is made up of renowned photographers from different countries. Every month they choose the best photos in several themed categories — from maternity sessions to newborn and children’s sessions.
Photographers from all over the world submit their best photos. The best entries of each month then go into the annual round-up — just like the photo “Sisters” in the Newborns 2016 edition.
