My dears, spring is in full swing! It is getting greener and greener outside the window, and magic is happening in preschools and nurseries. I am right in the middle of this year’s spring photo sessions and I have to show you something – the results are truly adorable! Looking at these natural smiles, I am reminded once again that children’s photography is not just my job. Above all, it is my passion.

A preschool photographer with a love of children and a passion for photography

Many people ask me: “How do you get children to smile so beautifully?”. The answer is simple, but it takes experience and heart: the key is a genuine connection. As a children’s photographer in Warsaw and the surrounding area, I have more than 10 years of experience. That is why I know very well that a preschool session is a big event for a child. My job is to get the little one used to the camera and make them feel relaxed and safe.

Instead of standard, stiff poses, I go for play. I become someone who is interested in their world. I am also helped by charming, age-appropriate toys (like the ones captured in the photos below) — they draw attention away from the lens and bring out that most beautiful, natural smile. It is exactly that moment – the split second when a child forgets they are being photographed and simply is themselves – that is the most precious.

Beautiful sets and props: here even a shy model will feel like a star

I believe a photo backdrop should be like a fairy-tale world. That is why each of my spring sessions consists of carefully prepared sets, matched to the children’s interests. We go for themes full of life: spring flowers (like giant hydrangeas!), colours, gardening (painting easels, watering cans, flowerpots), and at the Easter sessions – wreaths full of colourful eggs and multicoloured roosters.

Even the shyest model gets used to a set more quickly when it is interesting to them. When a little one in the nursery is handed a brush to “paint” at the easel, or when in preschool they can “water” the flowers in the photo — the session stops being a stressful event. Instead, it becomes an adventure.

A mother’s experience and a photographer’s passion – or why I understand your needs

Where do I get my inspiration? The answer is personal: ever since my own children started preschool, I have been taking photos at their settings. This time passes quickly, and children grow up incredibly fast. I know what a priceless keepsake these photographs are. Today, looking through my children’s albums, I feel enormously proud of these keepsakes, and I want to offer other families exactly the same quality.

I understand how important the details are and how much a good photo that captures your child’s personality means.

What makes me happiest in my work is the trust you have placed in me for years. As a preschool photographer in Warsaw, I most often work directly with Parents’ Councils and the Head Teachers of preschools and nurseries who are looking for a professional with a way with children.

However, what gives me the greatest satisfaction is returning clients. I have been working in this profession for more than 10 years. My “little models” from the first newborn sessions are now growing up. Their parents then invite me to their nurseries and preschools to capture the next stage just as beautifully. I am enormously grateful for that.
